In business for over 70 years, the Newsagency offer visitors maps, Halls Gap and Grampians visitor information and specialise in low priced Australian made gifts and souvenirs. You are encourage to visit the big tree and take a photo with their resident kangaroo.
They have a great range of magazines and newspapers, books on the region, Australiana maps and publications. Visitors can also purchase from a large range of indigenous souvenirs.

The heritage-listed location of ‘Collins Booksellers on Lydiard’ is a book lover’s paradise. Step inside and explore the wonderful collection on offer.
The bookstore is a destination bookstore in a beautifully historical and architectually rich precint.
The bookshop will take you back in time with its pressed tin roof, old-style bookcases, wooden floors, open fireplaces, heritage front counter and the old fashioned signage. Langi Morgala Museum – Ararat
Langi Morgala Museum first opened its doors to the public in 1970 to provide a home for the diverse collections of Aboriginal works of art and artefacts that are important to the region’s history. The Ararat and District Historical Society manages the museum.
Langi Morgala Museum is also home to contemporary items, most notably those that relate to local champions and iconic figures in the collection. Look out for artefacts that relate to renowned world Champion and Olympic Cyclist, Shane Kelly. Other notable collections include The Mooney and Best collections as well as objects sourced from expansive estates in the district.
