Judgement

judgement: the ability to make considered decisions or come to sensible conclusions / a misfortune or calamity viewed as a divine punishment.

We cast it like a net across social media platforms. We hold onto it in the tiny recesses of our minds. It is a consideration of who we are, where we have been and all those tiny nuances that we collect along our journey.

That cataclysmic part of ‘the book’ that threatens a day when we will all know our truth. For the most part, this term is so vast that is in actual fact, it is what gives this word such magnitude.

Day in and out, moment by moment, without process it just happens. It makes for empathy and cynicism, education and longing among us.When looked at thoroughly, we can learn so much from casting judgement into the ether.

It provides a compass as to how we want to be perceived, how we will live our lives and emulate or repel the behaviour of others.

In my world it slides between reality and the imagined. Research unearths a route to a world that is begging to be created. Without judgement, characters would show flat sensibilities with neither one being different to the next. It is my hope, that whether they are loved or loathed that my decision for them projects off the page and moves you, the reader.

  1. Love your characters and for me they always jump off the page and into the world that you have so meticulously created for me through your writing! Thank you🤗
